D-Ridge round 3

We did so much stuff this week!
On Monday we had a mission chillin. The whole entire mission got together. We ate dinner, played minute to win it games, read letters from our family, and we let balloons go for every baptism we had this year. It was the most fun night of my whole mission. For the games..each zone had to come up with a game. Whoever's turn it was in each zone to do the game went out in the middle in front of ALL of the missionaries and played the game. It was so funny!
After all of that..President Wheeler gave us a spiritual message. He is so amazing, and I've never heard anyone (besides an apostle and our prophet) speak with such power.
Wednesday we went to the Christmas lights, and I saw Stephanie Moore and her sister! It's always so so good to see people that you know.
On Thursday we went to the temple as a whole mission, and we took a ratchet mission picture together. Of course I'm turned around. It was so amazing, and the most spiritual temple session that I've been in! Sister and President Wheeler were in my session.
On Christmas Eve Eve we went to visit people all day. It was so awesome because we picked up TWO NEW INVESTIGATORS! #MiraclesHappen
on Christmas Eve we went to the Reed's house in Queen Creek and made cinnamon rolls. It was so much fun! I delivered some to my converts in my first area. It made my whole day!
That night we ate dinner with Sister Sechez in our ward. She's so much fun! I love her to death. Later we got together with the Elders in our zone and we watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I didn't realize what a raunchy movie that was until I watched it as a missionary. haha
On Christmas day we had breakfast with the Zweifel's, then we went to all 3 of our sacrament meetings, THEN we had dinner with the Bigg's family, then dinner with the Cottam family. It was a busy, but super amazing Christmas week.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
Keep being a light in everyone's life.

It's an avocado...thaaaaaanks

This week was so busy, and this next week is going to be even more hectic.
Let's just start off with the fact that it's my little sister's 15th birthday today!!
Also I HIT 10 MONTHS! It's so crazy how fast time is going by.
Christmas parties:
So this week we had FHE with our whole zone, and we played White Elephant. It was the most fun time I've had with a zone! Sister Farrer took one of my avocados for a present.
We went to a ward Christmas party on Saturday night and Santa pulled my companion and I onto his lap. It was the most awkward moment of my whole mission.
Then we had a YSA relief society party, and it was also a lot of fun! It kind of makes me want to go to my YSA ward when I get home. Kind of.
We went to the Christmas lights on Wednesday, and there were so many youth groups there. We couldn't even stand on the side walk. This 17 year old boy accidentally brushed against my arm, and of course I wigged out. bc a boy touched my arm and that's gross. The Young Men's leader saw me freaking out and he (jokingly) told the boy that he's going to get kicked out of church for harassing a sister missionary. I've never seen someone look so scared in my whole life! haha
Sister Bischoff and I got sick on Thursday, so sister Farrer gave us medicine, and we KNOCKED OUT for about 5 hours. So much for missionary work.
That night Sister Anderson and I decided to tract a little bit. We knocked on a door that said "No Soliciting" on it, but I'm not soliciting so it's okay.
Well we knocked on the door and this angry old man stormed out of his house and yelled at us "Can you read. Do you speak english? THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE?! Go away. The good Lord does not forgive you for not following directions."
We just walked away with wide eyes and didn't say anything.
Good Sir, all I wanted to do was invite you to the Mesa Christmas lights..
We had a Choir concert last night, and it was so amazing. Of course something had to happen there. Sister Bischoff and I were in the front row because she was a narrator. Well I accidentally started singing the elder's part, and started laughing so hard I started crying.
Good news is..my Mission President saw me and started laughing too.

HAVE AN AMAZING WEEK EVERYONE AND MERRY ARIZONA CHRISTMAS!

"The cure for everything is bed rest" -President Nelson

This week was amazing! Here's all that went down:
So we went on exchanges this week and I was with Sister Irvin. She and I had a super eventful exchange. We both woke up super sick and stayed in bed all day.
Sick days on the mission are the worst.
So our investigator Mariah is on date for January 21st! It's a tenative date, but still. She's going to get baptized and she's so amazing!
On Saturday we went to a sealing of a family in our ward. I definitely balled my eyes out. It was one of the best moments of my mission.
That night we got to see the incredible President Russell M. Nelson at a YSA fireside. I'm definitely thankful that I'm in a YSA ward now.
It was so amazing to be in the same room as an apostle of God. The spirit was so strong. There's definitely no way that I can deny that God isn't real. God is real, and He speaks to us through his apostles and prophets.

So last night at the Christmas lights I got the BEST surprises in the world!
Jacquelyn Nelson, Mrs. Rikki, The Perez's, Mr. Reed, and the Albrights all came to see me last night! It definitely brought in the Christmas spirit and tons of tears.
I love this gospel. I love Christmas time, family, friends, and our Savior.

"You're not that cute. Your hair's uneven. You look dusty.

So this week we picked up a new investigator in the YSA! It feels so good to teach someone! She's so amazing. Our Relief society president came with us to the lesson, and I don't know how we would get through the lesson without her. Members definitely don't realize what an impact they have on the investigators when they come out with us.
I got to see Aly Macie this week!! (my last companion) Sister Reed surprised me with her. and of course...I cried.
We has YSA Stake conference this weekend. It was so weird seeing people I know from before the mission. It wasn't a lot, but it was still weird. Ysa is an interesting place, but the MOST fun!
My companion is the funniest person in the world.
We were in the car listening to music both being super quiet and soaking in the spirit.
She gets super loud and asks what my favorite number it. 14. Duh.
I asked what hers was. This was her answer "1.772453850905576"
Why you ask? It's the square root of pi.

I hope everyone has an amazing week!
Remember 25 ways. Over 25 Days.
