7 Transfers. 6 Companions. 5 Areas.

So Sister Macie is heading off of her mission tomorrow morning, so of course we thought that I'd stay in the area and lead it out.

WRONG. I'm getting transferred, too. 

Hints the subject of my letter.

I will be in 5 out of 10 zones in the mission. My goal is to get to every single zone. 

So last Saturday Gracie and Avery Hull got baptized! I don't know how in the world I missed writing that in my last email, but I did send the picture..so that counts. 

On Wednesday we went to the Reed's house and wielded stuff. It was so cool!

So this week I was joking around with some kids in my ward telling them to break my leg so that I'd get to have a car. Well, I started riding a skateboard and hit a big rock and BUSTED my butt on the ground. So skateboards = satanic.

I love my mission. I love that everything in the world fell apart a year ago. 

I love that I love that I lost my purpose. I love that I had to start from the bottom and pick myself up. My mission has helped me do that. God has helped me do it. He has helped break me down and pick me up to be the person that I needed to be. Not the person I was a year ago, and I'm glad that I'm not.

Let God help form you into the person you need to be. 

Let Him into your life.

sorry this week's email is going to stink, but here's what happened this week.

1. My DL, his comp, my comp, and I got to do baptisms at the temple this week.

2. Thursday our whole zone went to the temple and did a session.

Saturday I went to the temple with one of my less actives from my last area. 

4. Elder Cornish of the 70 came to speak to my mission yesterday, and it was the most amazing experience that I've had on my mission. What's scary is that he told me that he knows some of my family. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, but he did hug me. Which is totally against mission rules, but a 70 did it...so I didn't say anything haha. 

I'm loving my mission so so much. I'm so glad that I'm in Arizona. This is truly the work of the Lord. I'm so glad that I get to do this work for the next 9 months of my life, and even after when I get home. 

5. I got surprise visitors on Sunday ;) 

6. Last night Sister Macie and I got to work the concession stands at the church softball games. I even got to hit a few balls ;)

I think I'm in love with Arizona. It's the most beautiful place I've been. Who would ever think that they'd say that about the desert and cactus? haha 

This week we had about 23 service hours. I miss doing service so much!

It's the best feeling in the world to serve others. 

Okay other things that have happened this week: 

We helped someone build a haunted house. 

We had family home afternoon with the zone at our part member's house. It was so much fun! So for that we just eat food, play games, and have a spiritual thought. It's so good to just hang out with the Elders and Sisters. 

So as missionaries we watch a video series called "The District". There are 3 different series. In the District 2 there's an elder, Elder Murray, and I met him last night! It was like meeting a celebrity. haha The things missionaries get excited about. 

Since today is Halloween we have a weird pday. We had to go out and visit people from 10-12, then from 12-6 is pday,  then from 6-9 we get to go to (have to go to) San Tan to watch a movie with the San Tan zone. It should be a lot of fun, but I sure do miss going and trick or treating with my WHOLE family. I'll be home before we all know it. 

Next week our Pday is on Wednesday because a General 70 is coming and doing trainings on Monday and Tuesday.

EXCITING NEWS! Sissy went to the temple for the first time and did baptisms! It was so spiritual and so amazing. she didn't know I was coming..so when she walked into the temple and saw me..she ran up to me and gave me a big hug. She thanked me over and over again in Navajo. I love that lady with all of my heart. 

Being able to see someone go into the temple for the first time is the best thing in the world. 

I love the Savior. I love this gospel, and I'm so glad that I made the decision to go on a mission.

Week 4 of transfer 6

This week we didn't do anything really. We did go to the Nebeker's and help her make blankets for Newborns in Need. While we were there we may or may not have gotten into her Halloween costumes. 

We got into a less active's home and talked to her for THREE hours, and we have a return appointment with her on Tuesday. 

Another less active family asked us today if we could start the lessons with them. That's a HUGE miracle. 

We go to an old folk's home every single week. There's an old man named Dave there, he goes by Defense Dave. He started talking to me about the Mississippi State - BYU game and started balling his eyes out. I asked him what was wrong. He told me he just loves football and God so much. 

It made me think..What's really important to me?

The Savior, my family, this gospel, the temple, and the Atonement. 

It's hard sometimes to focus on what's really important in our lives. It's hard not to focus on the crazy things that are happening in the world right now, but

I know that if we take time in our every day lives to realize what's most important, and not worry about the little things, then we will have more joy and happiness in our lives.

"I testify to you that our promised blessings are beyond measure. Though the storm clouds may gather, though the rains may pour down upon us, our knowledge of the gospel and our love of our Heavenly Father and of our Savior will comfort and sustain us and bring joy to our hearts as we walk uprightly and keep the commandments.
